This learning module focuses on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) caused or worsened by smoking. It considers how the complexity of factors contributing to the disease requires a deep understanding of the patient experience and a holistic approach to care, and how barriers to smoking cessation are higher in patients with COPD than in other groups, requiring different approaches.
