Course description
This module is the first of two, which aim to introduce the reader to the presentations, assessment, investigations and management of children presenting with signs of raised intracranial pressure. This first module aims to explain the mechanisms associated with intracranial pressure and to outline the intracranial pathology of meningitis.

Learning aims and intended outcomes
- Identify the signs and symptoms of raised intracranial pressure
- List the normal ranges of intracranial pressure in children and explain how the body compensates for changes in pressure
