This learning module highlights the benefits for both supervisors and nursing students of providing constructive feedback. Five principles associated with doing so are discussed, and the importance of preparing feedback, ensuring it is provided in a timely manner and being specific are emphasised. Development opportunities to enhance supervisors’ skills in giving feedback are also discussed.
