Promoting effective treatment and education for children with eczema

Author: Deryn Thompson

Duration: 2 hours Last updated: 2023 Quality Assurance: Peer-reviewed Level: Qualified nurses, Students Language: English

Course description

This module aims to assist nurses to understand how they can provide effective education to children and their families about eczema, using a framework for nurse-led intervention devised by Thompson and Thompson (2014). The framework combines elements of nursing, education and cognitive psychology to assist children and their families to understand the condition and develop the skills they require to manage such a chronic condition.

Don't forget that you do not have to complete our two-hour learning modules all in one go. Tailor your learning to fit into your busy schedule by undertaking one or two sections at a time. You can stop and save your learning at any point and pick up where you left off when you return.
