Hand hygiene is one of the most effective methods of preventing healthcare-associated infections, yet compliance among healthcare workers can be poor. This module examines the reasons why healthcare professionals may not comply with hand hygiene practices from a human factors perspective. This allows healthcare professionals and organisations to consider how to improve hand hygiene practices locally.
