Course description
This module provides information on how nursing students can avoid plagiarism when preparing their coursework for submission. It examines what constitutes plagiarism, why plagiarism might arise and what can be done to ensure that work submitted meets the required writing standards. The module is aimed at nursing students and does not discuss preparation of work for publication, where checks for plagiarism also occur. The module does not discuss self-plagiarism, where the student re-uses his or her own work. University regulations relating to self-plagiarism vary widely. Therefore, students are encouraged to enquire how their place of study defines and responds to plagiarism.
Don't forget that you do not have to complete our two-hour learning modules all in one go. Tailor your learning to fit into your busy schedule by undertaking one or two sections at a time. You can stop and save your learning at any point and pick up where you left off when you return.
