This learning module is aimed at informing and educating children's nurse about children with long-term endocrine conditions. It introduces the role of the children's endocrine nurse in caring for children and families undergoing investigations to identify specific problems associated with pituitary, adrenal and thyroid glands. Children diagnosed specifically with growth hormone deficiency or congenital hypothyroidism are also discussed.

Please note that information provided by RCNi Learning is not sufficient to ensure competence in the skill. Assessment of competence should take place in line with local practice.
