This learning module explores the importance of developing and maintaining effective, trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationships that sit within the scope of professional boundaries, particularly for nurses caring for children, young people and their families. Addressing and prioritising the child's care needs, while meeting the needs of, and empowering, the family, are discussed, as are confidentiality and safeguarding.
