This learning module looks at assessing chronic pain in childhood as well as pharmacological and psychological interventions to manage it. It discusses self-help programmes and strategies to aid sleep and help a child at school manage their long-term pain, and also how the severe physical and psychological consequences are not always recognised by nurses and other healthcare professionals.
