This practical learning module is aimed at helping nurses to open and maintain an adult’s airway while providing breaths using a self-inflating bag and face mask. Airway compromise as a major factor in acute deterioration and maintaining a patient’s airway as part of the management of acute, life-threatening illnesses and injuries are discussed.
