This learning module focuses on how, by using the concept of goal setting, nurses can work with patients to develop achievable plans to reduce symptoms of osteoarthritis. Addressing lifestyle factors, namely exercise and maintaining an optimum weight, to tackle obesity, minimise pain and improve joint function is discussed.
