This learning module outlines strategies to use with pre-registration student nurses to endorse the 6Cs: care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment. It provides guidance on how to integrate the 6Cs into educational roles and highlights the importance of role modelling. The 6Cs are discussed in turn and the module concludes by considering robust assessment and two further Cs: confirmation and consequence.
