This learning module focuses on the role of food labelling in helping people select healthy foods and understand the effect their choices have on their and their family’s nutrition. How healthcare professionals, as part of their health promotion role to reduce incidences of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and certain cancers for example, can help patients understand and interpret food labels better is addressed.
